Sunita Sahoo, 26, is a differently-abled student pursuing her PG at Vani Vihar. She approached us for wheelchair assistance from Red Swastik Society. When we learned she’s a meticulous student and fighting LADHEI for her life, we couldn’t resist gifting her an EV three-wheel scooter. When asked if she knows how to ride, she smiled and said yes. It was a joyful moment for us to distribute 4 wheelchairs and 4 electric sewing machines to differently-abled individuals in need at the Puri Mahodadhi Mahostav, as part of Disability Week, organised by the Red Swastik Society Odisha branch and Team LADHEI.
The donor who have donated for the occasion is Mrs. Rajlaxmi Devi who turned 100 years on the day(12.12.2025). A memorable day for us.

Gitanjali Das, 26, underwent a successful spine surgery and is recovering well with the support of a walker. Bimala Kumar Swain, 48, from Tarapur, Jagatsinghpur, lost his leg in an accident, but is adapting to his new wheelchair and remains positive about the future. We're happy to provide them with this support and wish them all the best

Differently-abled individuals are an inspiration, and we’re humbled to support them! Red Swastik Society, Odisha is celebrating 25 years of service, and we’re proud to have contributed in a small way by providing 25 EV scooties to differently-abled individuals from different part of Odisha and 200 blankets to those in need, along with Team LADHEI. Their strength and resilience motivate us to keep going.

Sarat Nayak, 44, from Belapada, Ganjam, has been through a tough time after a brain stroke, making everyday tasks a challenge. We're happy to provide him with a toilet wheelchair, hoping it'll bring some comfort. Wishing him a speedy recovery and strength to overcome this tough phase.

We're thrilled to celebrate 25 glorious years of Red Swastik Society, Odisha! Khirod Basantia of Kendrapara is totally paralysed at the age of 75 years and unable to move and perform his daily activities. He is struggling (LADHEI) for his life. We (Red Swastik Society, Odisha) have provided him with a toilet wheelchair.

Basanti Rana, aged 43 years, from Jaraka, a Para Olympian, who is going to participate in Hyderabad for swimming, was provided with a wheelchair for her movement throughout the whole tour.

Ramesh Thakur from Khandia Bandi, Chandikhol, suffered a paralytic attack after a brain stroke at just 46 years old, leaving behind three children, including two girls and a son (pursuing +3 2nd year). His family is struggling to cope. We've provided a toilet wheelchair to improve his accessibility, enabling his children to care for him more easily. The fight for a better life continues.
LADHEI is committed to supporting those in need, and we'll be back soon.

Sanju Nayak, a 39-year-old paralytic patient from Sinduria, Nayagarh, recently received a wheelchair, thanks to our efforts. Her husband's heartfelt gratitude was overwhelming. It's a reminder that everyone fights their own battles, and we should strive to support and protect each other in every way possible.

Raghunath Chinera, 40 yrs , from Bakhara Sahi, Khordha, has been discharged from the hospital today after a brain stroke. He has been provided with a wheelchair by us to aid his recovery. Wishing him a speedy and smooth recovery!

A successful free health check-up camp was organized at NCCA, IRC Village, in collaboration with Simpleekare Hospital. The event featured Orthopaedic Specialists and Physiotherapists, with limited investigation facilities available. The camp saw 30 participants within a span of 2 hours on Saturday, September 6, 2025, and was generally well-received.

Rodani Biswal, an 86-year-old resident of Kujang, Jagatsinghpur, was struggling to walk due to paralysis. To improve her quality of life, we provided her with a toilet wheelchair,
enabling her to move around and manage her daily needs with greater ease.

Mangaraj Behera, a 60-year-old resident of Belgachia near Barang, has been
suffering from paralysis. To improve his mobility and accessibility, we have provided him with a toilet
wheelchair.

Mr. Istiyak Ahmad, aged 56, residing in GGP Colony, Bhubaneswar, is
currently afflicted with hemiplegia (one-sided paralysis) resulting from a brain stroke. Due
to his condition, he is unable to walk and relies on a wheelchair for movement within his daily
environment. We feel blessed providing him this facility.
30th July
Red Swastik Society, Odisha, and Team LADHEI provided a wheelchair to
Soumya Ranjan Satpathy, a child from Kendupatna, Cuttack, who has been living with polio since
birth. Despite traveling a long distance in heavy rain, Soumya Ranjan received a toilet
wheelchair, which will greatly aid his daily needs.
27th July
Ashanti Sahoo, a 31-year-old resident of Ghatikia, Khordha, is 90% disabled and
requires a three-wheeler scooter for mobility. Although we're unable to provide the scooter, we've managed
to offer her a wheelchair within our capacity, enabling her to navigate a small area for her daily needs.
Her daughter, currently in 6th standard, assists her with mobility. Thanks to the donor Rajalaxmi Devi
( 98 yrs ) who donates from her pension

Manas Ranjan Panda, of Tankapani Rd. Bhubaneswar, gratefully acknowledges
the wheel chair support provided by Red Swastik, Odisha. Feels happy after getting out of bed to
wheel chair after 50 days and recovering from a head injury. God bless the Donor.

Mantu Das, a 23-year-old from Totapada, Cuttack, who has been living with a
mental disorder since childhood, was overjoyed after receiving a wheelchair donated by RedSwastik
Odisha. Witnessing his happiness was truly heartwarming and felt blessed.

Suhani Mishra, a 19-year-old from Tirtol, who has been unable to walk
since
birth, beamed with joy after receiving a wheelchair. Red Swastik Odisha continues its mission to
support those in need across the state, bringing smiles to many faces.

Kamal Kalyan, a five-year-old child from Kendujhar, has been provided
with a wheelchair to aid his mobility due to his crumpled legs, which have been making it
difficult
for him to walk.

Gopali Sirka from Kandhamal, who is suffering from a spinal cord injury,
is currently hospitalized for treatment. A wheelchair support system is provided to help him to
move after his discharge.

Red Swastik Society, Odisha, provided ration for two months to 45 inmates
of
Parivartan First Child Adolescent de-addiction Home at Choudwar. We make it a point to support
them with
ration every two months.

True selfless people are rare. There are many who are wonderful
caretakers
but they don’t take care of themselves. We care for all, selflessly. Golapi Shirka from Jajpur,
a
para Olympiad swimmer, visited our office and was provided with a wheelchair to aid her
mobility,
as per her request. We're happy to support her.

Kalandi Sahu, a 34-year-old from Jajpur district, suffered a devastating
road
accident that left 90% of his body disabled. After learning about his urgent need for a
wheelchair
through Saroj Sahoo, we provided the necessary support to ensure his well-being. I'm grateful to
Puspalata Mohanty for sharing information about Kalandi, and I appreciate the collective effort
in
connecting his family with vital support. It's heartwarming to see people come together to make
a
difference in others' lives. I join you in praying for Kalandi's speedy recovery.
