Ramesh Sahoo, 62, from Balianta, was suffering after an accident. He underwent an operation on his right leg at AIIMS. We provided him a wheelchair for his movement in and around his area.

On the auspicious occasion of Utkal Divas (Odisha Day) on 1st April ’26, we felt privileged to collect 62 units of blood at our volunteer blood-donation camp, held for the first time in association with BJEM II School, Satyabhamapur, Khordha. Thanks to Cuttack Red Cross, Tofan, and last but not least B. P. Paikray, Principal. Thanks also to all the staff and parents for supporting us and making it a grand success of 62 nos.

Sathi Dei, 56, from Sishu Vihar, Kalarahanga near KIIT, is a left-leg amputee below the knee who was having trouble walking long distances while doing labor work to support her household. When my friend Tanushree asked if we could help, we provided her a wheelchair. She expressed her gratitude after receiving it.

It’s heartbreaking to see S Bani Reddy, 27, from Puri, struggling with polio. She’s having trouble walking, and her feet barely touch the ground. Still we have tried to help her with a wheelchair.

Sanyashi Sasmal, 51, from Balipatna, Jeypore, Koraput, is getting treatment at AIIMS for a spinal cord injury. His mother, who’s been taking care of him, is struggling financially - Sanyashi was the sole breadwinner. We helped them with a wheelchair, so she can take him to AIIMS daily. They’re struggling to afford even basic transport.

Bibhuti Bhushan Parida, 55, from Mahakalapada, Kendrapara, is dealing with a spinal cord injury. We’ve provided him a toilet wheelchair, so he can move around safely and enjoy some fresh air outside his home.

We tried our best to serve a wonderful cause on Women’s Day by donating a wheelchair to Sureswari Sadangi, 80, a paralysis patient from Charirakba, Cuttack. This will help her with daily activities.

Empowering women on women’s day - Satyabrata Mohanty, 40, is battling mouth cancer due to tobacco. He’s got a 6-yr-old child and wife Sagarika, who’s learning to make ends meet with a sewing machine. We’ve provided her an electric leg sewing machine to support the family and his treatment. Let’s hope she gets the strength to get through this.

Helping hands for Laxmipriya Das, 45, Chakriseni, Bhubaneswar. Paralysis has been tough, but we’ve gifted her a commode wheelchair, thanks to social activist Gagan Babu’s information.
